16566 - My father narrated to us, Hawdhah narrated to us, 'Awf narrated to us, from al-Hasan regarding "He knows what their breasts conceal and what they declare," he said: In the darkness of the night, and in the interiors of their houses.
His saying, the Exalted: "And there is nothing hidden in the heaven and the earth but is in a clear Book."
16567 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Nasr ibn 'Ali narrated to us, Zayd ibn al-Hubab narrated to us, from Ibrahim ibn Yazid, from al-Walid ibn 'Abd Allah, from Mujahid regarding His saying: "And there is nothing hidden in the heaven and the earth," he said: From a statement in the heaven and the earth, but it is with Him in a Book.
16568 - Muhammad ibn Sa'd informed us in what he wrote to me, my father narrated to me, my paternal uncle narrated to me, my father narrated to me from his father, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "And there is nothing hidden in the heaven and the earth," he says: There is nothing in the heaven and the earth, whether secret or manifest, but He knows it.
His saying, the Exalted: "In a clear Book."
16569 - My father narrated to us, Hisham ibn Khalid narrated to us, Shu'ayb ibn Ishaq narrated to us, Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "In a clear Book," he said: All of that is in a Book from Allah, clear.
16570 - Yunus ibn 'Abd al-A'la informed us by way of reading, Ibn Wahb reported to us, he said: And it has reached me, from Ibrahim ibn Yazid, from Mujahid regarding the saying of Allah: "And there is nothing hidden in the heaven and the earth"—the verse—he said: There is neither a statement nor an action in the heaven and the earth but it is in the Preserved Tablet (al-Lawh al-Mahfuz) before Allah created the heavens and the earth.
His saying, the Exalted: "Indeed, this Quran narrates to the Children of Israel"
16571 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid al-Narsi reported to us, Yazid ibn Zuray' narrated to us, from Sa'id, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "Indeed, this Quran narrates to the Children of Israel most of that wherein they differ," meaning the Jews and the Christians. He says: This Quran explains to them that which they differed about.
His saying, the Exalted: "And it is guidance."

16572 - al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi' narrated to us, 'Abd al-Razzaq reported to us, al-Thawri reported to us, from Bayan, from al-Sha'bi regarding "guidance," he said: Guidance from misguidance.
١٦٥٦٦ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا هَوْذَةُ، ثنا عَوْفٌ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ لَيَعْلَمُ مَا تُكِنُّ صُدُورُهُمْ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ قَالَ: فِي ظُلْمَةِ اللَّيْلِ، وَفِي أَجْوَافِ بُيُوتِهِمْ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَمَا مِنْ غَائِبَةٍ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَالأَرْضِ إِلا فِي كتاب مبين
١٦٥٦٧ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَمَا مِنْ غَائِبَةٍ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَالأَرْضِ قَالَ: مِنْ قَوْلٍ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَالأَرْضِ إِلا وَهُوَ عِنْدَهُ فِي كِتَابٍ.
١٦٥٦٨ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنِي عَمِّي حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَوْلُهُ: وَمَا مِنْ غَائِبَةٍ فِي السَّمَاءِ والأرض يَقُولُ:
مَا مِنْ شَىْءٍ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَالأَرْضِ سِرًّا وَلا عَلانِيَةً إِلا يَعْلَمُهُ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: فِي كِتَابٍ مُبِينٍ
١٦٥٦٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، ثنا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَوْلَهُ: فِي كِتَابٍ مُبِينٍ قَالَ: كُلُّ ذَلِكَ فِي كِتَابٍ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ مُبِينٍ.
١٦٥٧٠ - أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى قِرَاءَةً أَنْبَأَ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ: وَبَلَغَنِي، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: وَمَا مِنْ غَائِبَةٍ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَالأَرْضِ الْآيَةَ قَالَ: مَا مِنْ قَوْلٍ وَلا عَمَلٍ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَالأَرْضِ، إِلا فِي اللَّوْحِ الْمَحْفُوظِ قَبْلَ أن يخلق الله السموات وَالأَرْضَ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: إِنَّ هَذَا الْقُرْآنَ يَقُصُّ على بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ
١٦٥٧١ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَنْبَأَ الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ النرسي، ثنا يزيد ابْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَوْلَهُ: إِنَّ هَذَا الْقُرْآنَ يَقُصُّ عَلَى بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ أَكْثَرَ الَّذِي هُمْ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ يَعْنِي الْيَهُودَ وَالنَّصَارَى، يَقُولُ: هَذَا الْقُرْآنُ مُبَيِّنٌ لَهُمْ مَا اخْتَلَفُوا فِيهِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَإِنَّهُ لهدى
