His saying, Exalted is He: "He said, 'My Lord, indeed I killed one of them, so I fear that they will kill me. And my brother Aaron is more eloquent than me in tongue.'"

Its interpretation has preceded in Surah Taha.

His saying, Exalted is He: "So send him with me as a supporter, verifying me."

16904 - My father narrated to us: Ibn Abi 'Umar narrated to us: Sufyan narrated to us, from Abu Sa'd, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas: "And my brother Aaron is more eloquent than me in tongue, so send him with me as a supporter, verifying me," he said: And Aaron was made a prophet at that very moment when Moses, peace be upon him, was made a prophet.

His saying, Exalted is He: "As a supporter (rid'an)."

16905 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us: Shababah narrated to us: Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Najih, from Mujahid, regarding His saying: "As a supporter, verifying me," he said: As an aid. It was also narrated from Qatadah something similar.

16906 - It was read to Yunus ibn 'Abd al-A'la: Wahb informed us: Nafi' ibn Abi Nu'aym narrated to us, he said: I asked Muslim ibn Jundub about His saying: "As a supporter, verifying me." He said: The "rida'" (garment/support) is the addition. Have you not heard the saying of the poet: "And a brown, linear [spear] as if its knots were the seeds of palm-fruit... it has added (arda) a cubit onto ten."

16907 - My father narrated to us: Abu Salih narrated to us: Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "As a supporter, verifying me." It was also narrated from al-Suddi and 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Aslam something similar.

16908 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us: Muhammad ibn 'Isa narrated to us: Salamah narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq: "So send him with me as a supporter, verifying me," meaning: he explains to them regarding what I speak to them, for he understands from me what they do not understand.

His saying, Exalted is He: "We will strengthen your arm with your brother."

16909 - Muhammad ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Abi al-Thalj narrated to us: Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us: Asbagh ibn Zayd informed us: al-Qasim ibn Abi Ayyub narrated to us: Sa'id ibn Jubayr narrated to us, from Ibn 'Abbas, he said: So Allah granted him his request, and he loosened the knot from his tongue. Then Allah revealed to Aaron, and they both went together to Pharaoh.
