We provide for it and for you, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing." The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "Indeed, Allah has not commanded me to hoard the world nor to follow desires," meaning by it an everlasting life, for life is in the hand of Allah, the Blessed and Exalted. "Beware, I do not hoard a dinar or a dirham, nor do I store any provision after today."
17415 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us: Shababah narrated to us: Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding His saying: "And how many a creature that does not carry [its own provision]" - he said: "The beasts do not carry [any] provision."
17416 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us: Abu Bakr and 'Uthman narrated to us: Ibn Abi Shaybah reported to us, both said: Sufyan narrated to us, from Ibn al-Mu'tamir regarding "And how many a creature that does not carry its [own] provision," he said: "It has nothing for tomorrow."
His saying, the Almighty: "Who created the heavens and the earth... he will surely say: 'Allah.'"
17417 - My father narrated to us: 'Abd Allah ibn Salih ibn Muslim al-'Ijli narrated to us: Abu al-Ahwas narrated to us, from Simak, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas, he said: "You ask them who created them and who created the heavens and the earth, and they say: 'Allah.' That is their belief, yet they worship others besides Him."
17418 - My father narrated to us: al-Hasan ibn Sawwar narrated to us: al-Nadr ibn 'Arabi narrated to us, he said: "It is said to them: 'Who is your Lord?' They say: 'Allah.' 'And who manages the heavens and the earth?' They say: 'Allah.' Then, after that, they are polytheists; they say that Allah has a child, and they say that Allah is the third of three."
His saying, the Almighty: "Then how are they deluded?"

17419 - Musa ibn Harun al-Tusi informed me in what he wrote to me: al-Husayn ibn Muhammad al-Marwazi narrated to us: Shayban ibn 'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "Then how are they deluded?" he said: "From where?"
17420 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us: Minjab ibn al-Harith narrated to us: Bishr ibn 'Umarah narrated to us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "Then how are they deluded?" he said: "How are they turned away, [and how do they] tell lies?"
The second interpretation
17421 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us: al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid narrated to us: Yazid ibn Zuray' narrated to us, he said: I heard Sa'id, from Qatadah regarding his saying: "They are deluded," he said: "Meaning, they turn away."
