[His saying, the Exalted: "And He made between you affection and mercy"]

17481 - From al-Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding His saying: "And He made between you affection," he said: Sexual intercourse. "And mercy," he said: The child.

His saying, the Exalted: "And of His signs is that the heaven and the earth stand..." to the end of the verse.

17482 - From Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding [His saying]: "And of His signs is that the heaven and the earth stand by His command," he said: They stood by His command without pillars. [And regarding His saying]: "Then when He calls you a call from the earth, immediately you will come forth," he said: He calls them from the heaven and they emerge from the earth.

17483 - From al-Azhar bin Abdullah al-Jazari, he said: One should recite upon the afflicted person when he is taken: "And of His signs is that the heaven and the earth stand by His command, then when He calls you a call from the earth, immediately you will come forth."

[His saying, the Exalted: "And it is He who begins creation..." to the end of the verse]

17484 - From 'Ikrimah, he said: The disbelievers were amazed that Allah would give life to the dead, so it was revealed: "And it is He who begins creation and then repeats it, and that is easier for Him." He said: Recreating the creation is easier for Him than originating it.

17485 - From Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) regarding His saying: "And that is easier for Him," he said: It is simpler.

17486 - From al-Dahhak (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding the verse, he said: In your reasoning, returning a thing to what it was is easier than initiating it into a state of nothingness.

17487 - From Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) regarding His saying: "And to Him belongs the highest attribute," he says: There is nothing like unto Him.

17488 - From Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding "And to Him belongs the highest attribute," he said: His attribute is that there is no god but He and no one worshipped other than Him.

His saying, the Exalted: "He presents to you"

17489 - From Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding His saying: "He presents to you," he said: This is a parable.
