Allah set it as a parable for whoever equates anything of His creation with Him. He says: Would any of you be pleased to have a slave as a partner in his wealth, his person, his bed, or his wife? Likewise, Allah, the Exalted, is not pleased that any of His creation should be equated with Him. (1)
[His saying, the Exalted: "The natural religion (fitrah) of Allah upon which He has created the people"]
17490 - From al-Dahhak regarding His saying: "The natural religion of Allah upon which He has created the people," he said: The religion of Allah upon which He created His creation. (2)
17491 - From Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) regarding His saying: "No change should there be in the creation of Allah," he said: The religion of Allah. "That is the correct religion," he said: The upright decree. (3)
17492 - From Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There is no child born but that he is born upon the natural religion (fitrah), then his parents make him a Jew, a Christian, or a Magian, just as an animal produces offspring that is complete—do you perceive any defect in it?" Then Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) would say: Read if you wish: "The natural religion of Allah upon which He has created the people. No change should there be in the creation of Allah. That is the correct religion."
17493 - From Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding His saying: "Turning to Him," he said: Repentant to Him. (4)
17494 - From Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding His saying: "Or have We sent down to them a mandate (sultan), so it speaks of that with which they associate others with Him?" He says: Have We sent down to them a book, so it speaks of their shirk? (5)
17495 - From Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) regarding His saying: "And whatever you give in usury (riba)," he said: Riba is of two kinds: Riba for which there is no harm, and Riba which is not lawful. As for the Riba which there is no harm in: it is a man’s gift to a man, desiring its excess or its multiples. (6)
17496 - From Mujahid (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding His saying: "And whatever you give in usury (riba) to increase within the wealth of people, it will not increase with Allah," he said: They are gifts. (7)
17497 - From al-Dahhak (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding His saying: "And whatever you give in usury (riba)..." he said: It is the permissible Riba: that you give a gift, desiring more in return; it has no reward and no sin. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade it specifically, saying: "And do not confer favor to acquire more." (8)
17498 - From Muhammad bin Ka’b al-Qurazi (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding "And whatever you give in usury (riba)," he said:

ضربه الله لمن عدل به شيئًا من خلقه يقول: أكان أحد منكم مشاركًا مملوكًا في ماله ونفسه وفراشه وزوجته؟ فكذلك لا يرضى الله تعالى أن يعدل به أحد من خلقه «١» .
[قوله تعالى: فطرت الله التي فطر الناس عليها]
١٧٤٩٠ - عن الضحاك في قوله: فطرت الله التي فطر الناس عليها قال: دين الله الذي فطر خلقه عَلَيْهِ «٢» .
١٧٤٩١ - عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا في قوله: لا تبديل لخلق الله قال:
دين الله ذلك الدين القيم قال: القضاء القيم «٣» .
١٧٤٩٢ - عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسلم: «ما من مولود إلا يولد على الفطرة، فأبواه يهودانه وينصرانه، ويمجسانه كما تنتج البهيمة بهيمة جمعاء هل تحسون فيها من جدعاه؟ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ أبو هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ: اقرءوا إن شئتم فطرت اللَّهِ الَّتِي فَطَرَ النَّاسَ عَلَيْهَا لَا تَبْدِيلَ لخلق الله ذلك الدين القيم.
١٧٤٩٣ - عَنْ قَتَادَة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: منيبين إليه قال: تائبين إليه «٤» .
١٧٤٩٤ - عَنْ قَتَادَة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: أَمْ أَنْزَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ سُلْطَانًا فهو يتكلم بما كانوا به يشركون يقول: أم أنزلنا عليهم كتابا فهو أينطق بشركهم «٥» .
١٧٤٩٥ - عن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما في قوله وما آتيتم من ربا قال:
الربا رباءان. ربا لا بأس به، وربا لا يصلح، فأما الربا الذي لا بأس به: فهدية الرجل إلى الرجل يريد فضلها، أو أضعافها «٦» .
١٧٤٩٦ - عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وما آتيتم من ربا ليربوا في أموال الناس فلا يربوا عند الله قال: هي الهدايا «٧» .
١٧٤٩٧ - عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَمَا آتَيْتُمْ مِنْ رِبًا ... قال:
هو الربا الحلال أن تهدي تريد أكثر منه، وليس له أجر ولا وزر، ونهى عَنْهُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خاصة فقال: ولا تمنن تستكثر. «٨» .
١٧٤٩٨ - عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ الْقُرَظِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عنه وما آتيتم من ربا قال:
