[His saying, the Exalted: "So direct your face toward the correct religion", the verse]

17508 - From Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding His saying: "So direct your face toward the correct religion," he said: Islam. "Before there comes a day which cannot be repelled from Allah." He said: The Day of Resurrection. "On that Day they will be separated." He said: A party in Paradise, and a party in the Blaze. (1)

17509 - From Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) regarding His saying: "On that Day they will be separated," he said: They will be divided. (2)

17510 - From Ibn Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding His saying: "On that Day they will be separated," he said: On that Day they will be divided. And he recited: "So as for those who believed and did righteous deeds, they will be in a garden made happy. And as for those who disbelieved and denied Our signs and the meeting of the Hereafter, those will be brought into punishment," he said: This is when they will be separated and divided into Paradise and the Fire. (3)

17511 - From Mujahid regarding His saying: "They are preparing for themselves," he said: They are smoothing out their resting places in the grave. (4)

[His saying, the Exalted: "And of His signs is that He sends the winds as bringers of good tidings...", the verse]

17512 - From Mujahid (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding His saying: "And of His signs is that He sends the winds as bringers of good tidings," he said: Of rain. "And to let you taste of His mercy," he said: The rain. "And that the ships may sail by His command," he said: The ships in the seas. "And that you may seek of His bounty," he said: Trade in the ships. (5)

His saying, the Exalted: "It was incumbent upon Us to aid the believers"

17513 - From Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "There is no Muslim person who defends the honor of his brother but it would be incumbent upon Allah to defend the Fire of Hell from him on the Day of Resurrection." Then he recited: "It was incumbent upon Us to aid the believers." (6)

[His saying, the Exalted: "Then He raises up clouds"]

17514 - From Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) he said: Allah sends the wind, and it carries the water from the clouds, and the clouds pass with it, and it pours just as the she-camel pours, and it flows like the water skins, except that it is scattered. (7)
