His saying: 'These are verses of the Qur'an and a Manifest Book.'
16093 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn al-Hisinjani narrated to us, Abu al-Jamahir narrated to us, Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: 'Verses of the Qur'an', he said: The scriptures that preceded the Qur'an.
His saying, the Almighty: 'Guidance.'
16094 - al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi' narrated to us, 'Abd al-Razzaq informed us, al-Thawri informed me, from Bayan, from al-Sha'bi regarding His saying: 'Guidance', he said: From misguidance.
His saying, the Almighty: 'And glad tidings.'
16095 - 'Ubayd ibn Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Hamzah informed us in what he wrote to me, Abu al-Jamahir informed us, Sa'id ibn Bashir narrated to me, from Qatadah, meaning: 'Guidance and glad tidings for the believers,' that is, by Allah, it is indeed manifest, its guidance, its blessing, and its rectitude.
His saying, the Almighty: 'For the believers.'
16096 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah narrated to us, 'Abd Allah ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding the saying of Allah: 'For the believers', meaning: For those who affirm (al-musaddiqin).
His saying: 'Those who establish prayer.'
16097 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, Abu Ghassan Muhammad ibn 'Amr Zunayj informed us, Salamah narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq who said: In what Muhammad ibn Abi Muhammad, the freed slave of Zayd ibn Thabit, narrated to me, from 'Ikrimah or Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas: Allah, the Almighty and Exalted—glory and praise be to Him—says: 'Those who establish prayer', meaning: They establish the prayer with its obligatory requirements.
16098 - I read to Muhammad ibn al-Fadl ibn Musa, Muhammad ibn 'Ali ibn al-Hasan narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Muzahim narrated to us, Bukayr ibn Ma'ruf informed us, from Muqatil ibn Hayyan regarding His saying: 'They establish prayer', and its establishment is the maintenance of its fixed times, the perfection of ablution for it, the completion of its bowing and prostration, the recitation of the Qur'an therein, the Tashahhud, and the prayer upon the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace; this is its establishment.
قَوْلُهُ: تِلْكَ آيَاتُ الْقُرْآنِ وَكِتَابٍ مُبِينٍ
١٦٠٩٣ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْهِسِنْجَانِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو الْجُمَاهِرِ، ثنا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَوْلُهُ: آيَاتُ الْقُرْآنِ قَالَ: الْكُتُبُ الَّتِي خَلَتْ، قَبْلَ الْقُرْآنِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: هُدًى
١٦٠٩٤ - حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ، أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنِي الثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنْ بَيَانٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ فِي قَوْلِهِ: هُدًى قَالَ: مِنَ الضَّلالَةِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَبُشْرَى
١٦٠٩٥ - أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَمْزَةَ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو الْجُمَاهِرِ، حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ يَعْنِي: هُدًى وَبُشْرَى لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَيْ وَاللَّهِ إِنَّهُ لَمُبِينٌ، هَدَاهُ، وَبَرَكَتُهُ وَرُشْدُهُ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
١٦٠٩٦ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَعْنِي:
لِلْمُصَدِّقِينَ.
قَوْلُهُ: الَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ الصَّلاةَ
١٦٠٩٧ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو غَسَّانَ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو زُنَيْجٌ، ثنا سَلَمَةُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ: فِيمَا، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي مُحَمَّدٌ مَوْلَى زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ أَوْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ سُبْحَانَهُ وَبِحَمْدِهِ: الَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ الصَّلاةَ أَيْ يُقِيمُونَ الصَّلاةَ بِفَرْضِهَا.
١٦٠٩٨ - قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ مُوسَى، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُزَاحِمٍ، أَنْبَأَ بُكَيْرُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ، عَنْ مُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ قَوْلُهُ:
يُقِيمُونَ الصَّلاةَ وَإِقَامَتُهَا الْمُحَافَظَةُ عَلَى مَوَاقِيتِهَا، وَإِسْبَاغُ الطُّهُورِ فِيهَا، وَتَمَامُ رُكُوعِهَا وَسُجُودِهَا، وَتِلاوَةُ الْقُرْآنِ فِيهَا، وَالتَّشَهُّدُ، وَالصَّلاةِ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَهَذَا إِقَامَتُهَا.
