16252 - 'Ali ibn al-Hasan al-Hisinjani narrated to us, Musaddad narrated to us, Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah narrated to us, from 'Ata' ibn al-Sa'ib, from Mujahid, that Ibn 'Abbas said: "The companion of Solomon had one thousand Qayl (chieftains), and under every Qayl there were one hundred thousand."

16253 - Ahmad ibn Sinan narrated to us, Ibn Numayr narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Mujahid, who said: There were under the hand of the Queen of Sheba twelve thousand Qayl, and under every Qayl one hundred thousand fighters.

16254 - Abu 'Abd Allah al-Tihrani informed us in what he wrote to me, 'Abd al-Razzaq informed us, Ma'mar informed us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "Indeed, I found a woman ruling over them," he said: She was in a royal house, and those who consulted with her were three hundred and twelve men, each man of them being over ten thousand men. She was in a land called Ma'rib, three days' distance from San'a'.

16255 - My father narrated to us, 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn Munib narrated to us, Abu Mu'adh al-Fadl ibn Khalid narrated to us, from 'Ubayd ibn Sulayman, from al-Dahhak regarding His saying: "Indeed, I found a woman ruling over them"—the verse—so Solomon denied that anyone on earth should have authority besides him.

His saying, the Almighty: "And she has been given from everything"

16256 - 'Abd Allah ibn Sulayman ibn al-Ash'ath narrated to us, al-Husayn ibn 'Ali narrated to us, 'Amir ibn al-Furat narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi regarding: "And she has been given from everything," he said: From everything in her land.

16257 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Abi Hammad narrated to us, Mihran narrated to us, from Sufyan regarding: "And she has been given from everything," he said: From the varieties of the world.

His saying, the Almighty: "And she has a great throne"

16258 - Ahmad ibn Yahya ibn Malik al-Susi narrated to us, 'Abd al-Wahhab ibn 'Ata' narrated to us, from Sa'id, from Qatadah regarding: "And she has a great throne," he said: Her throne is her seat (couch/bed). It has been narrated from 'Ata' al-Khurasani and al-Suddi similarly.
